When COVA displays 'Passport to be submitted,' print the confirmation page — you will need it when visiting the embassy.
Bring your passport, printed COVA confirmation, a recent passport-style photo, and proof of Zambia residence to the Chinese Embassy in Lusaka. Check the embassy website for current appointment or walk-in hours.
Pay the applicable fee at the counter. Confirm accepted payment methods with the embassy in Lusaka in advance.
Standard processing takes 4 working days. Collect your passport with the visa in person, or arrange courier return if the embassy offers that service.
